About:
I am an amateur, yet serious, landscape photographer based in Oregon (for now). I am always looking for hidden and beautiful locations to photograph and new compositions to try. I like taking pictures that have many layers and make full use of available space. I also like trying to convey how small we are compared to the grand landscape.
My photography so far covers only Washington, Oregon and California, but in the coming years, I want to expand that out to the Rocky Mountains and the Great Basin Ranges.
My gear is modest. Only a 24 Megapixel Sony a6000 APS-C camera with a set of 4 lenses, some polarizers, GND filters, an electronic cable shutter release and a hefty tripod have taken all these photos. Adobe Photoshop is used for correcting color casts, sharpening and noise reduction. Each picture is a true representation of what I saw with my own eyes as I triggered the shutter.
Although my pictures cover many landscapes, the following areas are covered more extensively:
- Mount Hood (OR)
- Wallowa Mountains (OR)
- Mount Rainier (WA)
Other less extensively covered areas include:
- Oregon Coast (OR)
- Columbia River Gorge (OR,WA)
- Three Sisters (OR)
- Mount Adams (WA)
- Goat Rocks (WA)
- Elkhorn Mountains (OR)
- Strawberry Mountains (OR)
- Sierra Nevada (CA)
- Death Valley (CA)...
...among many other areas that are covered in my collection by a single shot.
My images are available to be licensed and to be bought as postcards. No large prints, yet.
